Overpressure/check valve made of borosilicate glass 3.3
The high-quality Pressure Relief and Non-Return Valve made of premium borosilicate glass 3.3 offers a safe, precise, and highly reliable way to control gas flows in sensitive laboratory setups. It effectively prevents the unwanted ingress of air or reactive gases into inert gas-supported systems, while reliably protecting reaction apparatus from dangerous overpressure (max. 0.1 bar) that can occur during exothermic processes, vacuum fluctuations, or gas evolution.
A precisely spring-loaded spherical ground joint serves as the pressure relief valve, with a highly viscous sealing liquid ensuring tightness. The spring pressure is fully adjustable. For use as a non-return valve, the device can be operated under vacuum; an integrated riser tube reliably prevents contamination of the system by the sealing liquid. In the case of highly aggressive media, the spring can additionally be covered with an inert liquid for protection. Thanks to its excellent chemical resistance, high thermal shock resistance, and mechanical stability, it is ideal for demanding applications such as synthesis chemistry, Schlenk techniques, and vacuum work.
